To close off 2024, I thought that I’d share one of my favourite songs that I discovered this year, but had, perhaps, heard many times before. To put this song into emotional terms (as I am so often inclined to do) would, I think, give you more of an idea of how the song has crept into my frequently listened list, cementing itself there. The many parts of this slow and ever softly intese song feel simply like a nostalgic hug from someone you’ve wished to see for a while. As soon as i hear the piano riff that accompanies most of the song, alongside the pads, my head slowly bobs and I am transported to many of my happiest memories in a sort of bittersweet fashion, both loving that they happened and yet, acknowledging that they were one of a kind. In my opinion, a great way to end the year and look back on all that has happened. I can only hope that you too are joined by such pleasant memories when enjoying this song.
